Obituary: Jody Buck Ballew

Memorial service for Jody Buck Ballew, 42, of Hartselle, will be Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church in Hartselle, Alabama. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Reverend Mike Eaton will officiate the service.

Mr. Ballew passed away September 3, 2021 at the Decatur Morgan Hospital.  He was born January 3, 1979 to Ronald Jett and Betty Lou Ferguson Ballew.  Buck had such a dynamic personality.  He was a caring and loving father, a beloved brother and the very best of friends.  To know him was to love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Ballew is survived by two sons: Jacob and Cole Ballew; mother of his children: Kristi Ballew; two brothers: Ronald (Cathy) Ballew, Jr. and Lee Ballew; sister: Linda (Ken) Williams; nieces and nephews: Dylan Ballew, Ty Tenney, Brody Williams, Casey Laney and Katherine Laney and a host of family, friends and colleagues.
