Funeral service for Billy Ray Mitchell, 88, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2021 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating. Interment will be in Holly Pond Cemetery. The visitation will be Thursday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Mr. Mitchell passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his residence. He was born July 27, 1932 to Arthur Claude and Ola Mae Feemster Mitchell, Sr. He loved his family and loved fishing and Braves baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Betty Jean ‘Shotgun’ Mitchell, his brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his brother: Arthur Claude ‘Junior’ Mitchell; son: Michael (Colette) Mitchell; daughters: Denice (Tony) Barnett and Pat (Charles) Harrison; grandchildren: Adam (Lindsay) Harrison, Jon (Hannah) Harrison, Amanda (Preston) Moore, Calista Mitchell, Bama Mitchell, Brittney (Jonathan) Heron and Courtney Barnett (Tyler Barrett); great-grandchildren: Charli Rae Taylor, Caleb, Brooks, Blakely and Eli Harrison and Raynger Heron; family and friends.
