CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman Police Chief Kenny Culpepper said his department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the southwest part of the city Tuesday night. The CPD is asking the public to come forward with any information.

“Tuesday at about 10 p.m., dispatch got reports of shots fired over around Rosemont and 12th Way,” said Culpepper. “When the officers went over there, they found that, for about a block, a couple of cars on the street and the police annex over there, the westside office, had been shot.”

The chief said witnesses told officers someone fired the shots from a tan or light-color sedan.

No one was inside the police annex building at the time of the shooting. There were no injuries.

“It’s under investigation,” said Culpepper, who asked for anyone who has cameras in the area or may have seen or know anything to call the CPD at 256-734-1434.
