VINEMONT, Ala. – Nine people were arrested Monday by the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Community Response Team (CRT) for various drug-related crimes. The arrests followed a citizen complaint to CRT deputies who were working in the Vinemont area.

The CCSO said CRT deputies conducted a traffic stop along County Road 1332. It said the driver continued to a residence where several suspects attempted to flee. A CCSO narcotics K-9 was deployed and allegedly located approximately 30 grams of marijuana and 3 grams of methamphetamine inside and outside the residence.

Minor children were located in the home, and Cullman County Department of Human Resources (DHR) was contacted.

The following suspected were arrested:

Christopher Joseph Moody, 51, of Cullman is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wanda G. Wilbanks, 48, of Vinemont is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Patrick ONeal Henry, 23, of Vinemont is charged with second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

“Anytime we get complaints from citizens we try to follow up on those as fast as we can, and it’s even better when we can make an arrest the same day,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I am glad our CRT deputies were able to arrest these nine individuals and also seize these drugs.”

All suspects have made bond.
