HOLLY POND, Ala. – A pursuit that began near Colony ended in Holly Pond Sunday evening along Brooklyn Road.

The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said in a statement the pursuit began after deputies responded to a burglary in progress call.

Deputies pursued the suspects’ vehicle along Alabama Highway 91, using spike strips to disable the vehicle as it approached Holly Pond.

The CCSO said two suspects were apprehended.

“I have spoken to the deputies and they did a tremendous job apprehending these suspects while keeping the safety of our citizens at the forefront,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry.

Observed at the scene were officers from the CCSO, Hanceville Police Department, Cullman Police Department and Alabama State Troopers.

No injuries were reported.
