CULLMAN, Ala. – Rock the South will not be happening this year, organizers announced early Thursday morning, saying, “In the best interest of our fans and our city, Pepsi Rock the South and the City of Cullman have decided to cancel this year’s event scheduled for May 29-30, 2020.”
The popular annual event was canceled due to COVID-19 and public safety.
“We have worked through the option of rescheduling, but have determined that the best decision is to cancel 2020. We are actively shifting our focus to building Pepsi Rock the South 2021 bigger and better than ever,” said Nathan Baugh-partner/Pepsi Rock the South.
Cullman Mayor Woody Jacobs added, “We appreciate Pepsi Rock the South putting the safety of our city and Rock the South fans at the top of its decision-making process. Cullman will be an incredible place to be in 2021 for Pepsi Rock the South.”
Those who have already bought tickets for Rock the South 2020 can use those tickets for Rock the South 2021 or receive a refund. Organizers said donated ticket funds will be used in conjunction with Pepsi Rock the South’s donations to local food banks, including Cullman Caring for Kids and the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama. In addition, Rock the South is donating thousands of masks to the Cullman County Commission on Aging to distribute to the high-risk community in Cullman County.

- If you would like to apply your 2020 tickets to 2021, don’t do anything at all. If we don’t hear from you before May 30, 2020, your tickets will automatically be valid for 2021.
- If you would like to donate the funds from your ticket OR receive a refund for your tickets, go to rockthesouth.com. We will process your request as quickly as possible. Please allow up to two weeks for refunds to process.
