Funeral services for Colene P. Shelton, 81, of Hanceville, Alabama are at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2019 at the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation for friends will be prior to the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Shelton had been a teacher at the Church Day Care in Birmingham. Most recently Mrs. Shelton was a parishioner at Prospect Baptist Church, Hanceville.
Mrs. Shelton is survived by her brother Marrell (Glenda) Parker, sister-in-law Gertrude Darnell and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Shelton is preceded in death by her husband Vetta Shelton, sister Irene Stewart, and brothers Orlin Parker, Thurman Parker and J.R. Parker.
