CULLMAN, Ala. – The residents of Westminster Assisted Living had a magical Halloween as droves of trick or treaters came out to visit Thursday evening. The smiles and laughs were plentiful as each youngster appeared in adorable and creative costumes.

Prior to the trick or treating, residents had their own Halloween fun with a magic show. Latham’s Dazzling Magic Show wowed as D.J. Latham and his gorgeous assistant, and wife, Danielle performed truly astounding tricks.

Resident Deannie Geiger loved the show, saying, “I have seen magic shows in Las Vegas and he was just as good as they were, maybe better.”

As the doors opened to the children, the joy was contagious. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a lioness, princesses and ninjas, and so many more lined up for treats. The residents and staff were blown away at the number of families who came by to spend Halloween with them.

Resident Sarah Mann gushed, “Oh, how cute! I never imagined we would have this many trick or treaters. This is just wonderful.”

It was difficult to determine who was having the better time, but everyone was having a blast. As the ladies and gentlemen of Westminster passed out handfuls of candy to their guests, a few might have put a few handfuls of chocolate in their own pockets for later.

Halloween is a fun time for all generations and that was on full display Thursday night.
