DODGE CITY, Ala. – The Dodge City Senior Center was filled Tuesday morning, as spooky seniors came dressed up for a fun Halloween costume party.

Dodge City Mayor Tawana Canada said, “We had a good response!”

The senior center has hosted the annual party for more than two decades.

“We’ve been meeting for 22 or 23 years, I believe, probably that long,” said Canada. “We try to make every holiday special.”

Canada said everyone enjoyed the event.

“I think everyone had a good time, including me!” she smiled. “The costumes were great! I think overall, it went great. We had a lot of participation, maybe more so than what we’ve had in previous years. The costumes were well thought out and diversified, they were great! Sometimes we have businesses that donate and all and we want to thank those businesses for helping our seniors!”
