CULLMAN, Ala. – Good news from the Cullman County Animal Shelter: Volunteer Donna Ruttkay shared that the last two Cullman Tribune Pets of the Week have been adopted! The shelter still has dogs available, so here’s a new canine companion:

Luna is an Irish Setter mix with maybe a little Greyhound, just under 2 years of age. She’s a playful medium-energy pet.

Ruttkay said, “Her playful behavior reminds one of a foal playing in the pasture.”

Luna has the makings of a good companion, hiking or therapy dog.

Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s dogs have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.

Luna’s adoption fee is $90 which includes: DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, spaying, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).

Please consider adopting, to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.
