Rep. Bradley Byrne to speak at Wallace State Oct. 10

HANCEVILLE, Ala. – U.S. Rep. Bradley Byrne, R-Fairhope will speak at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville Thursday, Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. The event will be held in the Bailey Center auditorium. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.

Byrne is serving his fourth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. He served as a member of the Alabama State Board of Education and as a member of the Alabama State Senate representing District 32. In 2007, Byrne was appointed by the Alabama State Board of Education as chancellor of the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education to serve as the chief executive officer of Alabama’s two-year college system. Byrne was elected to Congress in December 2013, to complete the term of Congressman Jo Bonner, who announced his retirement in May 2013.

Byrne is challenging U.S. Sen. Doug Jones, D-Alabama for his seat in the U.S. Senate in 2020.

Byrne will also speak at the Cullman County Republican Women meeting Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. at the Cullman VFW, 112 Veterans Dr. SW.
