CULLMAN, Ala. – The first half of the season has gone well for Cullman’s running back duo and it just got a little better this week. Bearcat runners Jaylen Hughey and Jayden Sullins each earned an invitation to the upcoming Offense-Defense All-American Bowl. There will be two regional events this year, an East Coast Regional in Miami Jan. 2-5 and a West Coast Regional in San Diego Feb. 7-10, before the National All-American Championship in Arlington, Texas April 24-27.
Sullins, a senior, is currently committed to play for the Navy Midshipmen and Hughey, a junior, is still undecided on his college choice. Through five games this season, Sullins has collected 473 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and has caught eight passes for 77 yards. Hughey has racked up 571 yards and five touchdowns of his own on the ground, averaging 13 yards per carry midway through the season. Both Bearcats will be back in action tonight when Cullman hosts Hueytown.
