Obituary: Sarah Kaye Morgan

Sarah Kaye Morgan, 65, of Logan, entered into rest Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Morgan was born Sept. 8, 1953 in Phoenix, Arizona.

She was a member of Addison Church of God for 11 years and was the secretary of Young at Heart.  Sarah Kaye enjoyed camping, walking on the beach, knitting, crocheting, church and her grandchildren and was affectionately known as “Katie Bug.”

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 30, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. The funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Addison Church of God, Rodney Ridgeway, Pastor and Bishop Samuel Parker will officiate. She will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Sarah Kaye is survived by her husband, Ricky Morgan; daughters, Karen LeCompte, Cheryl LeCompte and Ginny (Chris) Schaefers; stepsons, Frankie (Amy) Olsen, Jamey (Amanda) Morgan and Shawn (Michelle) Morgan; stepdaughters, Jennifer (Scott) Berry and Rebecca Lynn Aycock; brothers, George Allen Johnson, Jim (Gayle) Nessmith and Robert (Sandy) Johnson; sister, Bonnie O’Connor; grandchildren, Jordan Romine, Cody Romine, Jakeb Romine, Charlee Liverett, Elijah Liverett, Kaylea Mae Schaefers, Sarah Schaefers, Rose Fish, Zayden Schaefers, Joshua Gardener, Krystalyn Aycock, McKenzie Morgan, Hannah Morgan, Piper Morgan, Braxton Morgan and Shayden Morgan; son-in-law, Steven (April Matthews) Fish and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Laura Mae Johnson; husband, Frank Olsen; son, Jeff Olsen and brother, Sam Johnson.
