Funeral service for Herman Otto Peinhardt, Jr., age 70, of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Senior Elder Rodney Sanders officiating; interment in Cullman City Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Peinhardt was called home on March 4, 2019, to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born July 3, 1948 to the late Mildred Kilpatrick and Herman Otto Peinhardt, Sr.

Mr. Peinhardt was a Vietnam veteran and a Marine Corps drill sergeant at Parris Island, NC. He farmed in Cullman County for 20 years and served as a Cullman Electric Cooperative board member. For the last 22 years, he was a commercial long-haul truck driver and won many awards through Covenant Transportation. In recent years, he raised registered quarter horses.

He was beloved, and he loved his family immensely! Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Debra Lynn Peinhardt; daughters, Mehayley Laney and Tenille Garnett; grandchildren, Justin (Brookelyn) Hollaway, Cassidy (Roman) Cofer, Andrew Bradford, Harrison Laney, and Jayden Garnett; great-grandchildren, Gracie Cofer and Hayleigh Cofer; brothers, Curt (Rebecca) Peinhardt, Brent (Elizabeth) Peinhardt, and Keith (Debra) Peinhardt; sisters, Kathy (Jim) Miller and Mary (Jimmy) Barnes; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
