CULLMAN COUNTY – Saturday saw the start of the Cullman County Youth Football season. Below are the scores for opening day.

West Point 22, Cullman Bearcats 12 (Fireplug)

West Point took the first game of the day over the Cullman Bearcats to start out 1-0.

Cullman 28, West Point 0 (Wee-Wee)

Cullman shut out West Point in the Wee-Wee matchup, dominating the Warriors from start to finish.

West Point 30, Cullman 0 (Pee-Wee)

West Point finished 2-1 on the day after the Warriors' shutout victory over the Bearcats.

Fairview 42, Cullman Cyclones 0 (Fireplugs)

Fairview dominated on both sides of the ball from start to finish as the Aggies started out their season with a shutout victory over the Cyclones in the fireplug game.

Cullman Cyclones 34, Fairview 0 (Wee-Wee)

Cullman’s Wee-Wee team put up two touchdowns in each of the first two quarters en route to a shutout win over the Aggies.

Cullman Cyclones 22, Fairview 6 (Pee-Wee)

In a low-scoring affair, Cullman pulled away late in the final quarter scoring a touchdown; the Cyclones clinched the win with an interception.

Good Hope Outlaws 40, Hanceville 0 (Fireplugs)

The Outlaws flat out dominated from start to finish on both sides of the ball in their shutout win over the Bulldogs.

Good Hope Outlaws 38, Hanceville 0 (Wee-Wee)

Good Hope’s Wee-Wee squad followed that shutout win with one of its own as they start out the season 1-0.

Good Hope Outlaws 56, Hanceville 16 (Pee-Wee)

Good Hope finished off their sweep of the Bulldogs in convincing fashion.

Vinemont 20, Cold Springs 6 (Fireplugs)

The Eagles’ fireplug team started its season out with a win over Cold Springs in a low-scoring game.

Vinemont 30, Cold Springs 8 (Wee-Wee)

Vinemont made it 2-0 on the day as the Wee-Wee squad defeated Cold Springs.

Vinemont 28, Cold Springs 6 (Pee-Wee)

Vinemont finished off the sweep of the Eagles in the final game of the night.

Holly Pond 34, Good Hope Raiders 32 (Fireplugs)

Good Hope jumped out to a quick 20-0 lead, but Holly Pond battled back to tie the game and won the game in a double-overtime thriller.

Good Hope 34, Holly Pond 6 (Wee-Wee)

Good Hope dominated the Wee-Wee game from start to finish in its rout of Holly Pond.

Good Hope 8, Holly Pond 0 (Pee-Wee)

One touchdown was all that was scored in the game between Good Hope and Holly Pond, but that touchdown proved to be enough for the Raiders as they went on to win in what was a defensive battle.
