CULLMAN – The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a WIND CHILL ADVISORY for midnight Sunday night until 11 a.m. Monday morning. Wind Chill Advisory

A bitterly cold arctic front will bring dangerous wind chills to the Tennessee Valley on Sunday night. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for the counties of Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin (AL), Lawrence, Limestone Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, De Kalb, Cullman, Moore, Lincoln and Franklin (TN).

Very cold wind chills are expected. Expect wind chills to range from zero to 10 below zero. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin and increase potential for hypothermia.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
