EUFAULA – Good Hope's Tucker Putman and Will Dickerson punched their ticket to the Costa Bassmaster High School National Championship after a very respectable performance over the weekend in the Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation High School Championship tournament at Lake Eufaula.

The duo came in sixth in the individual boats category with 27 pounds, 3 ounces of live bass caught. They compiled 12 pounds, 80 ounces after the first round last Friday and improved their effort with 14 pounds, 23 ounces on Saturday.

That was good enough to get the Raider duo to the nationals the weekend of June 22-24 in Paris, Tennessee. Putman and Dickerson will be joined by Colton Williams and Chase Taylor, along with Hagen Speegle and Landon Graham. These two groups qualified for the nationals during the Southern Open at Lake Chickamauga.

Putman and Dickerson were two positions behind Cullman's top tandem of Lawson Graves and Cameron Glasscock. Graves and Glasscock collected 29 pounds, 45 ounces, helping the Bearcats win the state championship for the very first time.

Graves and Glasscock, along with Justin Lowery and James Cobbs will be taking their boats to the nationals as well, giving the local area five boats competing for top honors on Kentucky Lake.
