It was business as usual in the SEC as the 14 teams in the Southeaster Conference took turns beating up on each other on the baseball diamond. Auburn was the big winner on the week as the no.17 Tigers took two out of three from the no. 6 South Carolina Gamecocks, notching their six and seventh conference wins after winning only eight SEC games in 2016. Here is the breakdown of the rest of the SEC.

SEC EAST

Kentucky leads the SEC East with a conference record of 7-2 and an overall record of 21-8. The Gamecocks of South Carolina are in second place with a 7-2 SEC record and a 19-8 record overall. Missouri is third at 4-4 in conference and 21-6 on the year. The Florida Gators are also 4-4 in SEC play and 19-9 overall. Vanderbilt is the first of three SEC East teams with a losing record coming in at 4-5 versus SEC opponents.  They are 12-6 overall. Georgia is 3-6 in the conference and is also under .500 on the season at 8-10. Tennessee owns the worst record in the SEC with a 1-8 mark in conference but holds a 9-6 overall record on the season.

SEC WEST

Arkansas is atop the heap in the SEC West with a 7-2 SEC mark and 22-6 overall. Auburn is firmly in second with a 7-2 SEC record and 23-7 overall. Mississippi State comes in at third with a 6-3 mark in conference and a 19-10 overall record. LSU is 5-4 in conference and is also 19-10 overall. Texas A&M is the third SEC team to boast a 19-10 record, but they hold a disappointing 3-6 record in the SEC. Ole Miss also has a 3-6 record in conference and 16-12 overall. Alabama finds themselves at the bottom of the SEC West with a 2-7 SEC record and a 13-15 record overall.
