Undercover operation leads to trafficking arrest

CULLMAN – An undercover operation lead by the Cullman City Police Department (CPD) on Tuesday led to the arrest of a Haleyville man on charges of trafficking.

CPD Investigators Chris Thomason, Justin Craft, Scott Sanford and Adam Clark conducted an undercover operation in the area of Highway 157 and Interstate 65, where Marvin Edward Grace, 60, was stopped and subsequently arrested for trafficking in illegal drugs, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  

Investigators recovered from Grace an illegal amount of pills including oxycodone, hydrocodone and clonazepam. 

Grace is being held at the Cullman County Detention Center on a $1 million bond. 

"Investigators would like to thank Officer Trey Higginbotham and Cullman County Sheriff’s Deputies Jed Thomas and Brandon Woods for their assistance during the operation," said a statement from the CPD.
