Christmas in July

The Cullman Wellness and Aquatic Center will be decking the halls on July 8 for Christmas in July. The center will offer half-priced day passes and $50 off memberships to those who bring nonperishable food items for the Cullman Caring for Kids United Way food bank. Members are also encouraged to bring in items for the food bank. A free 6-month membership will be given to the individual who brings the most food items.

The center will be dressed throughout with Christmas decorations, and there will be holiday music and Christmas-themed games on the pool deck.

The event is an effort to replenish the Cullman Caring for Kids food bank, which reaches large portions of the area. “Students are out of school this time of year, and lots of children who receive free or reduced lunches may not be receiving a meal at all through the day,” Cullman City Parks and Recreation Marketing & Events Coordinator Waid Harbison said. “This event helps us restock the food bank in a time of year that is critical to the community.”

For more information on the Christmas in July event, contact the Cullman Wellness & Aquatic Center at 256-775-7946 or email info@cullmanrecreation.org.
