Funeral services for Johnny Charles Cook, 50, of Hanceville will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; Rev. Paul Campbell officiating; with interment in Bangor Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015. Johnny was a former pro wrestler and always said he wasn’t retired because he had a few matches left in him. Friends from the wrestling community will serve as pallbearers. He loved cooking and canning and always thought of helping others.

He was preceded in death by his son, Franklin Jake Cook.

He is survived by his son, Jessie (Rebecca) Cook; parents, Rev. Joe and Laura Cook; brother, Greg (Pam) Cook; “baby” sister, Karen Cook; best friend and brother, Terry Cook; dear friend, Harlan Barbee; nieces, Hope (Jake) Dauksza and Elizabeth Bailey; nephew, David Bailey and a host of other family and friends.
