Andruw Jacob Sims (A.J.), 28, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away peacefully October 4, 2026, surrounded by the family who adored him. Born on October 7, 1997, Andruw brought an immense amount of light, laughter, and perspective into the lives of everyone who knew him.
Though Andruw faced physical/developmental challenges throughout his life, he taught us what truly matters: patience, resilience, and unbridled joy in the smallest moments. He found happiness in music and playing his keyboard and Andruw Loved his sister’s and aggravated them. A smile from Andruw had the power to completely transform a room.
Andruw is survived by his devoted Mother, Pat Sims, his Sister’s Ashleigh Sims, and Allyson Sims; his nephew, Jason Harper; and his aunt, Debbie Laux and a large, loving extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Sims his Grandparents George and Dot Laux.
