HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Wallace State scored three times in the opening half and kept Southern Union off the scoreboard Tuesday to earn a 3-0 conference victory.
Yaya Jawneh, Shishio Abram and Thomas Edwards each found the net for the Lions. Wallace State’s official box score lists all three goals as unassisted.
The Lions carried their three-goal advantage into halftime before completing the shutout during a scoreless second half. Goalkeeper Emrik Senécal played the full 90 minutes and preserved the clean sheet.
Wallace State improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Each of the Lions’ three victories has come by a 3-0 final.
The Lions will travel to Itawamba Community College for a 6 p.m. match Friday, Sept. 4.
