Joe Sterling Beasley age 80 of Bremen, Alabama passed away February 22, 2026, at home. Joe was born May 24, 1945, in Eldridge, Alabama.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Virginia Beasley; sisters Dorothy Beasley and Doris Burkett; brothers John Allen Beasley, Frank Beasley Jr., Roy Wilson Beasley and Lawson Beasley; and grandson Justin Luker.
Joe is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Stricklin Beasley of Alabama; daughters Jennifer (J.T.) Wright of Alabama, Pam (Alfred) Handley of Alabama and Sheri (Brian) Baker of Alabama; sons Doug (Marilyn) Beasley of Alabama, Anthony Beasley of Alabama and Barry Holcomb of Alabama; sisters June Boland of Mississippi, Edith Townsend of Missouri, Francis Williams of Alabama, Lora Grace of Illinois and Dale Boland of Alabama; brothers Stewart Beasley of Alabama and Stanley Beasley of Alabama; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Joe was a man of strong faith, he always put God first. He was a member at Kinney Grove Baptist Church.
Joe served in the U.S. Navy for three years. Much of his time in the service was spent aboard the USS Weiss APD-135. He was a coal miner for the Drummond Coal Company for twenty two years following his time serving in the Navy. Joe was a proud member of the United Mineworker’s Association.
Joe spent his later years enjoying time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watching Alabama football. He loved nature and spent much of his time outdoors or at the beach whenever he could. Most notably, his trip to the Smoky Mountains was his favorite.
The family will receive friends for a visitation Friday, February 27, 2026, at Kinney Grove Baptist Church 320 CR-221 Bremen, 35033 from 12 p.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
