Cullman Community Theatre production coming in March; Community Choir, Camp Cullman signups underway

    CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism has announced several upcoming programs and events, including a spring musical, community choir signups and summer day camp registration. 

    Here is what families and community members need to know. 

    “Matilda the Musical” set for March 5-7 

    Cullman Community Theatre will present “Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical” March 5-7 at the Cullman High School Auditorium. 

    Evening performances will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 5, and Saturday, March 6. On Sunday, March 7, audiences will have two opportunities to attend, with a 2 p.m. matinee and a 7 p.m. evening performance. 

    Tickets are limited and available online at cullmancotheatre.ludus.com. Tickets will also be available at the door. Children ages 3 and younger are admitted free. 

    The family-friendly production features local performers and is part of CPRST’s ongoing support of community arts programming. 

    Cullman Community Choir seeking singers 

    The Cullman Community Choir is currently welcoming singers of all vocal ranges for its upcoming performance at the Alabama Strawberry Festival. 

    The choir performs at several major local events each year, including the Alabama Strawberry Festival, Cullman Christkindlmarkt and Cullman Oktoberfest.

    Camp Cullman 2026 registration open 

    Registration is now open for Camp Cullman 2026, the city’s summer day camp program for children aged 6-13. 

    Camp Cullman runs Monday through Friday from June 1 through July 31, with a scheduled break June 29 through July 3. Camp hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and activities are based at the OmniPlex. 

    Throughout the summer, campers will participate in arts and crafts, games, sports, swimming, waterpark activities and field trips.
