Cecil Ray Boyd, passed away on Jan. 27, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on Jan. 13, 1952, in Cullman, Alabama, Cecil was a devoted and compassionate person who lived a life filled with love and generosity.

Cecil was a resident of Cullman, Alabama, where he spent 55 years working as a hairdresser. His clients were more than just customers; they were part of his extended family, and he loved them dearly. Known for being hard-working, honest, and inspirational, Cecil’s gentle and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of everyone he met.

Family was at the heart of Cecil’s life. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Enika Shalon DuVall (Phillip), and a loving grandfather to Cameron DuVall, Anna DuVall, Daniel DuVall, Ryan DuVall, Ella DuVall, Alyssa DuVall, Emma DuVall, Alexxa DuVall, and Tyler Boyd. Cecil was predeceased by his son, Scott Boyd, his father, Willie Fay Boyd, and his brother-in-law, Dale Holmes. He is survived by his sister, Charlene Lindley (Dewey), and his nieces and nephews: Tammy Bates, Dana Rogers (Terry), Jamie Lindley (Jennifer), Kayla Pigg (Andrew), Leah Young (Jason), JJ Holmes, and Celia Ramos (Taylor).

Cecil’s love for his grandchildren was profound, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was a patient, resilient, and selfless man whose thoughtful and wise presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Beyond his family and work, Cecil had a passion for flowers and enjoyed spending time surrounded by their beauty. His sense of humor was a defining trait, bringing joy and laughter to those around him.

A Visitation will be held on Feb. 1, 2026, from 1-3 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home, located at 1901 Second Ave. NW, Cullman, AL 35055-5827. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will take place at 3 p.m. at the same location.

Cecil will be lovingly remembered by his pallbearers: Cameron Duvall, Ryan Duvall, Daniel Duvall, Phillip Duvall, Bobby Boyd, and Jeff Boyd.

Cecil Ray Boyd leaves behind a legacy of loyalty and devotion, and his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
