James Cecil “Jimmy” Jones, age 87 of Cullman, passed away January 11, 2026, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born September 23, 1938, to Cecil and Myrtle Jones.
Jimmy worked for the Texaco company for 47 years. He took great pride in being a hard worker. He could repair anything from vehicles to gas pumps. Jimmy was a ‘salt of the earth’ kind of man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Jimmy will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where the service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be at White Oak Cemetery. Randall Edmondson will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Rainwater, Colby Jones, Jimmy Jones, Sean Jones, Rylan Jones, and Ethan Robert.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Joanner Jones; children, Frankie Jones (Cim Taylor), Sheila (Ricky) Meigs, Lisa Woods, Sherry (Jeff) Rainwater, and Michelle (Cheryl) Beeler; and grandchildren, Colby Jones, Amber Jones, Rachael King, Hannah Couch, Evan Seymore, Erin Seymore, and Shelby Rainwater. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Myrtle Jones; and son, Ronald Jones.
