CULLMAN, Ala. – Circle of Hope is set to host the 18th Annual Shoot for a Cure 3D Archery Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, July 12–13, at Camp David in Jones Chapel. The tournament runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Registration is available at the door, and archers of all ages and skill levels are welcome. All proceeds will go directly to the Bruno Cancer Center in Birmingham.

The tournament features 20 3D targets arranged throughout the course, with distance stakes set according to shooter divisions. Competitive rounds are $15 for adults and $10 for youth, with two mulligans available for $5. For those not aiming to compete, fun rounds are available for just $5. To be eligible for awards, all scorecards must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Sunday. Top shooters in each division will be recognized.

Door prizes, raffles and a silent auction will take place throughout the weekend. A Browning AB3 .308 Bolt Action Rifle will be raffled off on July 13; tickets are currently available at $5 each or 6 for $20. You do not need to be present to win. The silent auction, held in honor of Ms. Shelby Kilpatrick, is also underway for a three-night stay at a Gulf Shores beach condo at the Gulf Shores Plantation Resort, with bidding open until 5 p.m. on July 13. Full details on both the raffle and auction can be found on the Circle of Hope Cullman Facebook page.

In addition to competition, the event will include breakfast and a devotional service on Sunday at 8 a.m., led by Pastor Steton Hayes. Concessions will be available both days.

“It’s always exciting to see folks who participate every year,” said Elaine Blackwood, event organizer. “Sometimes we only see them at the shoot once a year, so we get to watch their kids grow up and get to renew our friendship each year. But the best day of all is when we get to hand Bruno Cancer Center that check. What a great feeling to know that you have made a difference in someone’s life, especially someone who is battling cancer.”
