CULLMAN, Ala. — Gamer Geeks Cullman opened in 2023, offering sanctuary and hospitality to the gaming community. That hospitality reaches beyond those who play; Gamer Geeks also welcomes anyone to come and observe. The Tribune recently interviewed Store Owner Michael Jensen, who expressed the importance of events and how they play a significant role in bringing individuals together to create memories.
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, Gamer Geeks announced its expansion into a neighboring shop. The extra room means it can host 100 people in the store. Not only does this allow more people, but it also means expanded seating and a more comfortable experience.
“We wanted to give our community more space to have fun and make friends,” Gamer Geeks shared. “We have a space available for folks to spread out and enjoy a variety of games without worrying about tripping other patrons with gaming equipment!”
The store also advised that, on slower days, this is the perfect quiet area for “those who want to study or relax in a nerdy environment!”
The expansion showcases a vibrant blue epoxy flooring that welcomes newcomers and regulars.
The store thanked those who aided in the expansion work, saying, “This expansion was a ton of work and we are so lucky to be supported by local small businesses like Nick Ivy at North Alabama Tint and Asher Kyte and his father at Artisan Services!
“We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the people of the city of Cullman for supporting us over the years! We absolutely would not have been able to do this without you coming in and enjoying geeking out with us! We will strive to do bigger and better events with this new space to really ‘wow’ everyone!”
