GOOD HOPE, Ala. – Families are invited to celebrate the start of the new school year during the 2026 Back-to-School Bash, hosted by the City of Good Hope. The free community event will take place Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5-7 p.m. at Good Hope Municipal Park, 135 Municipal Drive, Cullman.
According to the City of Good Hope, the event is designed to help students and families kick off the new school year with an evening of food, activities and community fellowship.
Activities planned for the event include:
- Door prizes
- A free meal
- Water slides
- A gaming trailer
- Back-to-school photos
- Free haircuts for school-aged children
- Additional family-friendly activities
City officials said gates will open at 5 p.m. The event is open to the public, and admission is free.
The Back-to-School Bash has become one of several community events hosted by the City of Good Hope throughout the year, bringing together local families, businesses and community organizations as students prepare to return to the classroom.
Good Hope Municipal Park serves as a gathering place for many of the city’s recreational programs and special events, providing space for residents to enjoy family activities throughout the year.
With the new school year approaching, the event offers families an opportunity to enjoy an evening together while taking advantage of free activities and services available before classes begin.
