Danny Ray Taylor, 74, of Cleveland, Alabama, passed away on July 14, 2026. Born September 16, 1951, Danny Ray lived a life marked by steady devotion to duty, faithful commitment to those he loved, and a quiet strength that showed itself in both service and work.
Danny Ray served in the navy during the Vietnam war, answering the call of country with resolve and honor. He also dedicated himself to his trade and to his fellow workers, holding membership in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) for fifty years—an enduring testament to his work ethic, reliability, and pride in a life built on skill and perseverance.
Danny Ray is survived by his wife, Kathy Boyett Taylor; his son, Jeremy ( Rachel) Taylor; grandchildren, Victoria and Christopher; great grandchild, Lydia; brothers, Gary Taylor ( Terri) Rodney Taylor (April); sister, Brenda Taylor Harden; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Danny Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Vonda Nell Bates Taylor; and his brother-in-law, John Harden.
Visitation will be held at Moss-Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd Ave North West, Cullman, AL 350555827, on July 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at Moss-Service Funeral Home on July 20, 2026, beginning at 11 a.m.
A Military Graveside Committal Service will be held at Bates Cemetery, Logan, AL 35098, on July 20, 2026.
