HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Wallace State Community College student-athletes and athletic teams were well represented on the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Spring 2026 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll, recognizing individuals and teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher. Wallace State had 145 student-athletes and 12 athletic teams recognized on the ACCC Spring 2026 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
The honor recognizes student-athletes who successfully balanced the demands of academics and athletics during the spring semester.
“These student-athletes and teams should be extremely proud of themselves, as they have balanced academics with practice and games,” ACCC Commissioner Dean Myrick said. “I am very proud of them, along with the faculty and staff at our amazing colleges for the work they do in preparing our student-athletes for life outside of athletics.”
Wallace State had student-athletes from baseball, softball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s cross country, volleyball, cheer and flag football earn recognition on the honor roll.
Among those recognized were softball standouts Brooklynn Sertell, Kaelyn Jones, Leah Graves, Madeline Howard, Ava Smith and Charli Kyser; men’s tennis national champion Angel Gautier along with Alexander Grube Andersen, Tom Koepf, Luka Uzelac, Francois Van Wyk, Matias Vargas and others; and cross country runners Luke Allen, Beau Branscome, Jackson Brown, Elliott Denard, Thomas Ferster, Carson Masterson, Samuel McCrary, Rene Moreno, William Wiggins and Auston Wilkes.
Flag football honorees included Emma Kile, Carley Paschal, Maggie Patterson, Ruby Perez Arriaga, Telecia Ransom, Jayla Rudolph and Romajah Walton. Women’s basketball representatives included Leah Childress, Zamyra Goode, Idaysia Mercer, Jada Peterson, Chloe Rule, Kameron Sanders, Taylor Smith, Bailey Tetro, Heather Tetro and Karma Wynn.
In addition to the individual honors, 11 Wallace State athletic programs were recognized for posting a combined fall and spring team GPA above 3.00.
