Funeral service for Brenda Powell, age 77, of Cullman, is Friday, May 29, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, with Pastor Jacob Moody officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Level Cemetery in Berlin.

Brenda was born on October 11, 1948, to David Hendrix and Nelda Duke Hendrix. She passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim W. Powell; four brothers; three sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Quick and Brandy Cantrell (Kevin); grandchildren, Patrick Quick (Shana), Tiffany Caruana (V.J.), Emily Sweatman (Alex), Dustin Pierce (Brandy), Sawyer Pierce, Addie Cantrell, Dawson Cantrell; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brothers, Anthony Hendrix (Susan), Andy Hendrix (Debbie), and Tim Hendrix (Brenda); a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
