Jimmy Freeman passed away on the evening of May 1, 2026, at his residence surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born to the late Earnest and Truedell Freeman in Cullman on July 7, 1946. He was married to the apple of his eye, Gail Gaines, on January 7,1972. They were married for 46 wonderful years. Jimmy was a loving husband, wonderful father and a great brother and friend. His life was full and never lacking in love. Jimmy was a strong man that understood the importance of good character and the value of a man keeping his word and the equal importance of the laughter that follows a good prank or the relaxation that comes from a well needed beach vacation. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed being outdoors with his family going hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, swimming, playing volleyball or horseshoes, or working in his garden. He was greatly loved and will be even more missed by those who were blessed to know him.
