Kay Anderson Niezer, a beloved mother, grandmother, and lifelong educator, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Kay dedicated her life to teaching and shaping young minds, serving as an elementary school teacher at Jones Chapel, West Elementary, and East Elementary. She was deeply committed to her students and took great pride in the difference she made in their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, G.O. Anderson and Lola Mae Anderson, and her husband, Charlie Niezer.

She is survived by her daughters, Alice Niezer Steele (Ben Steele) and Emily Niezer Johnston; and her cherished grandchildren, Mary Claire Page, Anna Page, Mary Charles Davis, and Liz Johnston, who lovingly knew her as “Mimi.”

Kay was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church. She found great joy in simple pleasures—especially time spent at the lake and relaxing by the swimming pool with her family.

A funeral service will be held on April 25, 2026, at Moss Service Funeral Home, with visitation from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., followed by the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Cullman County Hospice or Cullman Regional Foundation in appreciation of the care and compassion shown to Kay and her family.

Kay will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to her family, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
