Dripping Springs Chapter of DAR awards JROTC medals at CATA

    CULLMAN, Ala. – Several members of the Dripping Springs Chapter of DAR attended the JROTC Awards Dinner at the Cullman Area Technology Academy (CATA) on April 17, 2026.  There, they awarded DAR Bronze JROTC medals and certificates to the outstanding cadet from each school in Cullman County that participates in the JROTC program.   

    The recipients must have demonstrated loyalty and patriotism and earned a record of military and scholastic achievement.  They are selected based on qualities including dependability and good character, adherence to military discipline, leadership ability and a patriotic understanding of the importance of JROTC training. 

    Representing the Dripping Springs Chapter were Athelia Gibbs, Geraldine Farr, Regent Cathy Shallal, Angia Smith and Anita Winslow.
