West Point Middle crowned Grand Champion at Cullman County Middle School Math Tournament

    West Point Middle School earned the title of Grand Champion at the Cullman County Middle School Math Tournament on March 13, 2026, demonstrating outstanding performance across multiple grade levels in both team and individual categories. (Cullman County Schools)

    CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman County’s top middle school math students gathered March 13 at Wallace State Community College for the 2026 Cullman County Middle School Math Tournament, 

    After a day of  competition, West Point Middle School earned the title of Grand Champion, demonstrating outstanding performance across multiple grade levels in both team and individual categories.  

    Cullman County Schools expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Wallace State Community College for hosting the event and supporting academic excellence in Cullman County. 

    Sixth-grade competition 

    In the sixth-grade team competition, West Point Middle School took first place, followed by Fairview Middle School in second and Good Hope Middle School in third. 

    Top individual performers in the sixth-grade division were:

    Seventh-grade competition 

    The seventh-grade team competition also saw West Point Middle School take first place. Hanceville Middle School finished second, and Good Hope Middle School placed third.

    In the eighth-grade team competition, West Point Middle School again claimed first place. Vinemont Middle School finished second, while Good Hope Middle School placed third.
