HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The City of Hanceville Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for seasonal lifeguards for the summer 2026 season, according to a recent announcement from the department.
The seasonal positions will run from Memorial Day Weekend through the start of the school year. Pre-season training and facility preparation are scheduled to begin in mid-May.
According to the department, lifeguards will be responsible for actively monitoring the pool area to ensure the safety of patrons, maintaining pool chemistry and cleanliness, performing routine upkeep of the pool deck, bathrooms and surrounding facilities and providing friendly, professional service to community members and visitors.
Applicants must be at least 15 years old and demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Applications must be picked up and submitted in person at Hanceville City Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
