Good Hope Council approves motion for advertising package on Good Hope football video board, Dale’s grand opening set for Wednesday

GOOD HOPE, Ala. – Good Hope’s City Council held its regularly scheduled meeting at Good Hope City Hall on Monday night and discussed a pair of upcoming events for the week ahead and pledged support for Good High School’s football program. Good Hope High School has recently installed a new video board at James W. Shabel Stadium and the football program is selling advertising packages to raise money toward a new football facility. The council approved a motion to advertise on the video board for $5,000 per year for the next five years.

The council also discussed preparations for a couple of local events coming up this week. Dale’s Market and Black Spirits will be hosting a ribbon cutting and grand opening the morning of Wednesday, June 25. They will have free Hunts Brothers pizza and wings, free coffee and free hamburgers for those in attendance. You will also be able to enter to win a 2025 Bass Tracker bass boat. Drawing for the boat will be Aug. 1 at 6 p.m. The ribbon cutting will be held on Wednesday at 8 a.m. and the rest of the day’s celebrations will continue until 4 p.m. The store is located at 364 County Road 222, Cullman, AL 35055.

The Smith Lake Veterinary Hospital is also hosting an open house on Saturday, June 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will offer refreshments and tours for those that come out and participate. The Hospital is located at 96 Speegle Road, Cullman, AL 35055.

The Good Hope City Council will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Good Hope City Hall.
