Karen Waters Smith, age 68, affectionately known as “Nammy”, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and love. Born on December 7, 1956, Karen was a beacon of warmth, strength, and grace to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Evelyn Waters and Keiffer Levon Waters, and her sister, Paula Waters Walther.
Karen is survived by her devoted husband, Kevin Smith; her loving children, daughter Stephanie Lovvorn Suttles (Scott) and son Blake Lovvorn; and her treasured grandchildren, Jordan Suttles and Brooksie Suttles, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.
She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Sandra Whicker and Tammy Eubank (Martin); her siblings in love, and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
Karen’s kindness, laughter, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. -1 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, and service at 1 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home, with Dr. Johnny Crider officiating. Graveside to follow at New Hope #1 Memorial Church and Cemetery.
