Funeral Service for Perry Wayne Casey, age 51 of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with, James Maxwell and Jed Thomas officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Casey passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Cullman Regional. He was born, January 28, 1974, to Larry Wayne Casey and Rebecca Ann Elders Casey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Conard Casey and Bertha Briscoe Casey.
Perry was a retired Sheriff’s Deputy from the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office who served as a School Resource Officer at Holly Pond High School for several years during his tenure and served as a U.S Marshal for several years.
His competitive spirit kept him active in sports such as basketball, softball, pro mod racing, and cornhole but his greatest hobby involved adventures with his family and telling stories to spread laughter.
Survivors include his wife, Jamie Casey; children, Courtney (Hannah Seddon) Casey, Erin (Brena Cornelius) Birdwell, and Micah (Olivia Garmon) Birdwell; grandchildren, Bentley Woodall, and baby on the way, Oaklyn Birdwell; siblings, Chris (Angel) Casey, Steven (Mindy) Casey, Stefanie Talley, Gwen Casey, and Michelle (Cara) Crane; brother-in-law, Scotty Talley; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thank you to; Cullman Jefferson Gas District Employees, Gentiva Hospice nurse, Brittni Armstrong; physical therapist, Carol O’Hara, Cullman County Sheriff’s Office, Cullman County Cornhole Group, the staff at Cullman Regional Medical Center, Gaylon Wood, Phillip King, and Huntsville Hospital nurses, Maggie and Katie.
