Mr. Hart passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born, October 30, 1947. Sarah Frances Hart Hickman and Chester Hickman were his loving parents.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Christian Hart.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Dianne A. Hart; daughter, Melanie Hart Shaddix (Lynn); son, Chad Hart (Paige); grandchildren, Grace Holmes (Gage), Hope Leonard, Elizabeth Hart, Emma Hart and Kate Hart; great grandchildren, Audrey Holmes and Asa Holmes; sisters, Brenda Berry (Joe), and Betty Baskins (Rickey) and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Eddie and Dianne moved to Cullman, Alabama in 1972 from Royston, Georgia and began a poultry equipment business, Farm Systems. They then began Canaan Logistics in 1982, which led Eddie and Dianne to become founders of the Cullman Historic Warehouse District. Eddie was an intelligent and successful businessman, to say the least, but he was prouder of his relationship with his Lord, Jesus Christ, than anything else. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and was a kind friend to all. He was funny and caring and was a giver to anyone in need. He enjoyed many things on this earth, but him being an avid Georgia Bulldog fan was a well-known fact to all that knew him. So much that his nickname was “Bulldog”. Eddie will be sorely missed by his loved ones, but there is great comfort knowing he is safe at home.
