MADISON, Ala. — The Rocket City Trash Pandas are bringing the spirit of Cullman to Toyota Field with the highly anticipated Hometown Throwdown, a special event celebrating the Cullman community while giving back to a worthy cause. This exciting night of baseball, community pride, and philanthropy is set to take place on Friday, August 14th at 5:30pm as the Trash Pandas take on the Knoxville Smokies.

In the spirit of giving, a portion of the evening’s proceeds will support Curt’s Closet, a nonprofit dedicated to providing clothing, shoes, and essentials to children in need. Founded by Ashley Wilson in memory of her son Curt, Curt’s Closet has become a beacon of hope for families in North Alabama. Fans attending the game will have the opportunity to contribute to the cause through an optional donation when purchasing tickets! At the end of the Hometown Throwdown Series, the Trash Pandas Foundation will present an additional donation to the Hometown Community Spotlight based on the number of fans who attended! Let’s fill up those seats!

“We are thrilled to bring Cullman County to the Rocket City for a night of fun and community spirit,” said Joey Orr, President at the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce. “This event not only highlights what makes Cullman special – the people! But also supports an incredible organization that is making a real difference in the lives of local children and families.”

Tickets for the Hometown Throwdown are available now at https://www.milb.com/rocket-city/community/hometown-throwdown. Cullman residents and supporters are encouraged to wear their hometown pride and show up in full force to support the Trash Pandas and Curt’s Closet.
