Joseph Edward Conn III of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 67.
Born in 1957, Joseph moved to Cullman from Pelham, Alabama in 1991, the same year he founded Conn Surveyors. As a licensed land surveyor in both Texas and Alabama, he served his community with skill, dedication, and integrity. His work was a true reflection of his character—steadfast, precise, and passionate.
Joseph was a man of deep faith and vibrant spirit. He loved riding motorcycles, traveling, playing guitar, dancing, and bringing joy to those around him. His missionary work, including time spent serving in Africa, was one of his proudest callings. He cherished time with his family and friends, and above all, he held a deep love for the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Conn Jr., as well as his beloved wife, Cissie Conn, whom he deeply cherished and missed after her passing in 2016.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Willingham Conn Lambert. He also leaves behind his four children: Tanya Dawn Massey, Joseph Edward Conn IV, Rachel Conn Holland, and Jessica Conn Pettus; his siblings: Mike Allen, Liza Abadin, Yolonda Chalkley, and Greg Conn; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 6th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home.
