Rosella Speegle Akers, age 86, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. She was born on September 14, 1938, to the late Loys and Gladys Entrekin Speegle, in Cullman County, AL. Rosella was preceded in death by her son Barry Akers; her parents Loys and Gladys Speegle; and her siblings Bobby (Frances) Speegle, Frances (Louie) Harbison, Harold Speegle, Horace Speegle, Douglas (Carol) Speegle, and Thomas Speegle.
Rosella is survived by her children Dana (Paul) Conn and Tim (Kim) Akers; her daughter-in-law Sherri Akers; her grandchildren Joshua (Carolina) Conn, Lance (Debra) Conn, Amanda (Bien) Bordas, and Jessica (Andrew) Norwood; her great grandchildren Jazmin Conn, Sophia Conn, Eden Conn, Iris Conn, Lincoln Norwood, Otto Norwood, and Roman Bordas; her brother David (Rita) Speegle; her sisters-in-law Betty Speegle and Judy Wood; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family for visitation Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd Avenue, N.W., Cullman, AL 35055. A celebration of life funeral service will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home.
Rosella will be laid to rest in Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery at 7508 County Road 310, Crane Hill, AL 35053.
