CULLMAN, Ala. – St. Bernard Preparatory School senior Madilyn Kerber has been named the Region 7, Class 1A Scholar-Athlete by the prestigious Bryant-Jordan Scholarship Program. She was recognized at the 40th Annual Bryant-Jordan Awards Banquet, held Monday, April 14, 2025, in the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel Ballroom.

Kerber earned a $3,000 scholarship as the Region 7 winner and plans to attend Auburn University this fall.

The Bryant-Jordan Program, named in honor of Alabama coaching legends Paul “Bear” Bryant and Ralph “Shug” Jordan, annually honors 104 high school student-athletes across Alabama for academic excellence and personal achievement. Scholarships are awarded in two categories: the Scholar-Athlete Award and the Achievement Award. Kerber was selected for her outstanding academic performance, athletic participation, and leadership.

The program is a partnership of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame and the Alabama High School Athletic Association, awarding nearly $1 million in scholarships annually.

Kerber is the daughter of Tim and Kim Kerber of Cullman.
