An upper-level disturbance and surface frontal boundary will move through the state this afternoon into tonight. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move from north to south across Alabama, and a few storms could produce hail (some larger than quarters) and 40-60 mph winds. There is no tornado threat with this system. Total rainfall amounts will generally be 0.5 inch or less which will not cause flooding issues.
After tonight, there will be no severe weather threat through at least the middle of next week.
