Man charged with attempted murder in Good Hope shooting

GOOD HOPE, Ala. – On Sunday, March 9, Cullman County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested George Thomas Meadows, 80, of Cullman, in connection with the shooting incident that occurred earlier Sunday on Doss Road in Good Hope. The shooting was allegedly a result of an altercation between Meadows and the victim. 

Meadows was charged with aggravated assault/attempted murder.

He is currently confined in the Cullman County Detention Center with no bond.

According to the CCSO, the victim is still in the hospital and remains in critical condition.
