Memorial service for John T. Buchanan, 84, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 6th, 2025 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service.

Mr. Buchanan passed away peacefully on March 3rd, 2025 at his residence. He was born July 10, 1940 to Albert P. and Mary Buchanan. He owned and operated the Sundrop Company for many years. He was a huge Alabama fan and Cullman Bearcat football fan and didn’t miss any games for a long while. He also enjoyed golfing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and mother of his children, Dorothy Buchanan and his second wife, Corene Buchanan.
Survivors include his son, Tommy (Debbie) Buchanan; daughter, Judy (Danny) Curtis; sister, Margerate Jetton; grandchildren, John Charles Curtis, Corey Buchanan, Kailey (Adam) Billiot; great-grandchildren, Carter, Blakely, Remi; and a host of family and friends.
