CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman residents are invited to get moving this March and April with Move Alabama, a statewide community activity challenge designed to encourage physical activity in fun and simple ways. Organized by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System in collaboration with SNAP-Ed and EFNEP at Auburn University, the initiative aims to promote a healthier lifestyle through movement with family, friends and neighbors.
Participants can pick up a free challenge flyer at the Cullman County Extension Office, Cullman County library locations or online at the Move Alabama Facebook page. The flyer provides easy and accessible ways to incorporate more movement into daily routines, making participation simple for all ages and fitness levels.
In addition to the main challenge, local Pop-Up Challenges will be available, highlighting areas in the community where increased physical activity is both beneficial and easily attainable. These special events will serve to connect residents with movement opportunities in their local environment while encouraging friendly competition and community engagement.
To stay motivated and engage with others participating across the state, individuals can follow the Move Alabama Facebook page, where they can download the challenge flyer and share their progress with a broader network of participants.
